It’s time!!
Rise of the Sparrows needs YOU and your honest, brutal feedback!
If you think you’d like to be a beta reader, here are a couple of things to consider:
You will receive your copy tomorrow, and will have until the 11th March. If you apply after tomorrow you will receive a copy as soon as I get to it. There are a couple of things I’d like you to look out for – you’ll get details along with your copy via email.
I can send you your copy either as a PDF or directly to your kindle. Let me know which one you’d prefer when you get in touch.
I need your honest opinion – whether you hate it or love it, I want to know.
I’d like you to send me feedback as you read – this allows me to edit right away and therefore save time, and also gives me insights into how you read, your predictions and what you feel as you go.
You don’t need to have been a beta reader before. If you do have experience please let me know!
Rise of the Sparrows is a High Fantasy novel.
I’m looking for roughly 5-7 readers and no more than ten.
It’s unpaid – unless you count my eternal gratitude and cookies and tea should we ever meet in person!
I’ll owe you.
There are three ways for you to get in touch – the Contact form on this blog, my facebook via PM, and my twitter via DM. It’s up to you how you contact me, whatever’s easiest for you works for me.
If you’ve got any questions please don’t hesitate to ask, and I will answer as soon I can 🙂
THANK YOU!!
~Sarina

You don’t know how thrilled I am with that 🙂 Thank you, I’ll check my messages when I’m on my lunch break. I’m at work right now so my options are limited 🙂

One question: how many pages long is it? Approx.? I’d love to help but I’m trying to work out if I could do this before your deadline. If it’s 900 pages long then probably not! 😉
If you work in Word, then tell me in Word pages – I can compare that to how long my novel is to get an idea 🙂

Thank you so much for your interest! I’ve had so many responses that I’ve already gone a little over my ’10 readers at most’ limit, so I’m afraid I’ll have to decline. Might you be interested in receiving an Advanced Reader Copy in a month or so instead? 🙂

That’s great! 🙂 Brilliant to have as much feedback as possible at an early stage.
I’d love an ARC whenever they’re ready 🙂

Fantastic, I’ll put down your name for that now so I don’t forget 🙂 I’ll be sending out ARC after the beta read but before the professional edit, so roughly in one month from now 🙂
I honestly didn’t expect this much interest! As much feedback as possible is a great thing but I need to be able to keep up with it all, too 😛 I didn’t think it would come to this but I had to put my foot down and say ‘no more!’.
