Happy Monday, everyone!

I might have to change how often I post prompts and only do it every two weeks rather than every week. It would mean more writing time, and who can argue with more writing time? πŸ˜‰

Today’s prompt was inspiring – as a result, you’ll get a sequel to it next week πŸ˜‰

As always, if this prompt speaks to you feel free to borrow it and give it a go! If you do, please link back here so I can read your interpretation πŸ™‚

Toto, if we’re not in Kansas anymore, where are we?

The environment was unlike anything I had ever seen before. Exotic, and beautiful, and definitely not Earth.

The grass was red. The trees – their bark a perfectly normal dark brown – had purple and blue leaves, no flowers, and the animals were odd creatures from a sci-fi movie they had yet to write. They had three legs, glowing green stripes and black eyes. They kept their distance and I sank deeper into the waist-high grass. It smelled odd – like cherry ice cream but decidedly not cherry ice cream.

In the distance I saw bright flickering lights. A city? A space ship?

I sighed. I’d lost it. Darran had told me I was going insane and he was right. This place wasn’t sane, it was- It was-

The hell was this place? I felt sick, and dizzy. I couldn’t even remember how I’d gotten here.
