Look, you guys! It’s my book! :’D

Or rather, it’s my book’s proof copy. After going over every page and making sure that the things that caused a problem in OpenOffice didn’t change themselves again while I wasn’t looking, I approved it on CreateSpace :’)

All that’s left to do now is get the eBook version up and running, and I’ll be all set for 23rd May!

happy tears 2

It’s been an emotional but very exciting week, and holding my baby for the first time is definitely the biggest highlight.

And look-

It looks good on my bookshelf, too! πŸ˜€

Besides swooning over my book since Wednesday evening (and it did take up a considerable amount of time), I’ve been planning the release week as well as the week before its release.

I’ll be stopping off at six (possibly seven) different blogs that week to say hi and talk about my book (there’ll be giveaways!), and I’ve got a lot of replying to do over the next few weeks. I’ll post the schedule on Friday 20th May instead of the usual progress update, so you’ll know what’s happening when and where πŸ™‚

In the meantime, you get a tiny glimpse into the future here:

I don’t know how much you’ll be able to decipher, but it is supposed to be a secret, right? πŸ˜‰

Speaking of publishing books, do any of you know if I can set the release date on CreateSpace in the future? On Amazon KDP I was able to, which means that my book will be available for pre-order but I’d like the paperback to have the same option.Β

Besides planning and crying happy tears, I’ve been trying to take it easy this week. Last week was so stressful and hectic that I thought I’d treat myself to a break, but naturally I failed. In comparison, this week was relaxing and lovely but I don’t think I’m capable of not doing anything at all any more. If any of you know the secret to a lazy day with no productivity, please pass it on.

All being well I’ll be able to make some progress on Book 2 and Immortals (temp. title) next week, and I might even manage to catch up on your blogs!

She’s had a good sniff and I think she approves!
