A Book's Progress 3

Some immense progress was made this week ๐Ÿ˜‰

Somehow, I’ve managed to write 10,000 words in four days!

I KNOW! ๐Ÿ˜€ Now I just need to do it again next week, and I’ll have reached my target of 20K in two weeks.

Huh. Maybe I am cut out for this NaNo thing after all ๐Ÿ˜›

But let me give you some figures:

word count week 04072016

So far this week I’ve done 10,039, which brings the current total to…

Not too shabby for one week! ^-^ I don’t think I’ll have more time today because I’ve got a birthday to prepare for, so other things will take priority for today. ย If I do manage to fit in any more, I’ll adjust the counter at the top accordingly ๐Ÿ™‚

To all of you who are doing NaNo this month:

motivation 2

And remember- there are no winners in NaNo, only exhausted survivors ๐Ÿ™‚

(Seriously, though, you got this!)

I might have been tempted to suffer with you, but I just don’t have time this month with my parents visiting.

Time for the excerpt! I hope it didn’t get too confusing last week with the changed names and everyone being a she. I’ll continue like that until someone tells me it’s too weird ๐Ÿ˜›

Have a wonderful weekend, everyone! ๐Ÿ™‚

โ€œWhat happened?โ€ asked Aria, and came to a sudden halt in front of Morgan. She had seen her wounded before. Cuts and bruises had covered her body as surely as her clothes and skin had, but now there was no visible wound. The healer had removed her shirtโ€”Aria assumed to allow her to breatheโ€”but a thick sheen of sweat covered her chest and forehead regardless. She was breathing heavily.

โ€œSheโ€™s wheezing,โ€ said Mira, who ignored the sweat covering her and leaned in to hear better.

The woman who had given them space before stood closer. โ€œWeโ€™re not sure. Lon brought her to me, but she was already passed out when Lon found her.โ€

โ€œAnd she hasnโ€™t woken up since?โ€ asked Mira.

The healer shook her head. โ€œNo. We have searched her body but havenโ€™t found any wounds. We can only assume that she was poisoned, but without Morgan’sย input we canโ€™t be certain what happened.โ€

Miraโ€™s face appeared calm when she stepped away, but behind her eyes Ariaย could see a raging storm. โ€œWho did this?โ€
