Why not join in? Just answer the following three questions in a post and then put a link to that post in the comments over at Taking on a World of Words.
This meme will be categorised together with my book reviews. All links will get you to the book’s Goodreads listing, as always 🙂
This post is largely the same as my previous post two weeks ago I’m afraid, but I’ll try to make it worthwhile ^^

What I’m currently reading
You guys. This book? You guys, this book! This is the book my books want to be like when they grow up. I’m both excited to get to the end as well as sad to get to the end. I haven’t had many book hangovers, but this will hurt for a while. I’m so glad I decided to read it despite its length. So, so glad.
I have so much love for this book. There should be a review next week Thursday, but I worry it’ll just be me gushing over how much I loved it. That’s a valid review, right?
Blurb:
Told in Kvothe’s own voice, this is the tale of the magically gifted young man who grows to be the most notorious wizard his world has ever seen.
The intimate narrative of his childhood in a troupe of traveling players, his years spent as a near-feral orphan in a crime-ridden city, his daringly brazen yet successful bid to enter a legendary school of magic, and his life as a fugitive after the murder of a king form a gripping coming-of-age story unrivaled in recent literature.
A high-action story written with a poet’s hand, The Name of the Wind is a masterpiece that will transport readers into the body and mind of a wizard.

What I recently finished reading
Nothing. If I didn’t need to go to work, eat or sleep I’d have finished The Name of the Wind by now, but I’m not quite there yet.

What I think I’ll read next
Some progress at least has been made. I have decided which book I’ll read next, and it’ll be The Caves of Steel. I have no idea how I haven’t read this sci-fi classis sooner, but it’s next on my list! It’s also short, so it shouldn’t take me long to get through.
Blurb:
A millennium into the future two advancements have altered the course of human history: the colonization of the galaxy and the creation of the positronic brain. Isaac Asimov’s Robot novels chronicle the unlikely partnership between a New York City detective and a humanoid robot who must learn to work together. Like most people left behind on an over-populated Earth, New York City police detective Elijah Baley had little love for either the arrogant Spacers or their robotic companions. But when a prominent Spacer is murdered under mysterious circumstances, Baley is ordered to the Outer Worlds to help track down the killer. The relationship between Life and his Spacer superiors, who distrusted all Earthmen, was strained from the start. Then he learned that they had assigned him a partner: R. Daneel Olivaw. Worst of all was that the “R” stood for robot–and his positronic partner was made in the image and likeness of the murder victim!

It’s brilliant when you come across a book you love that much. It doesn’t happen often for me (which is why I so rarely give 5-star reviews), but it’s fantastic when it does. Looking forward to your review! 🙂

It doesn’t happen that often to me, either, but this one is something else! I’m worried there’ll be too much gushing in my review and not enough actual review!

I’m always surprised to hear it, because for a while The Name of the Wind was everywhere! Wasn’t it? It’s not a new book, and I only received it as a gift. The best gift ever. I’ll try to be unbiased in the review but it’ll be hard ^^

I didn’t really spend a lot of time on social media before I started my blog so that’s probably why it’s passed me by. One of the things I love about reading blogs now is finding books that I’ve missed and wouldn’t have otherwise heard of so I’m glad I saw it on your blog. Good luck with your review, I find it hard to review the books I loved as it’s difficult to be objective.

I can’t wait to read your review of The Name of the Wind, I love that world. I’ll be interested to read what you think of Kvothe and his quirks 🙂
The second book was not as good as the first (in my opinion), but still a worthwhile read.

I will need to order the sequel soon, I’m not happy to let it end there. I have just over 100 pages left and need more! I’m in love with the world and everyone in it – and I even picked up one hell of an irish accent along the way! I can’t say I expected that when I started reading it 😉

Do!!! The Name of the Wind is amazing and I need to talk about it! I was intimidated by the length (663 pages) but by now I wouldn’t care if it was double that.

“This is the book my books want to be like when they grow up.” I love that! As much as I love your enthusiasm about this book. The feeling of finding a 5 star book is awesome, and it doesn’t happen a lot.
I like the blurb for The Caves of Steel, it sounds very interesting!

Thank you ^^ I’ll actually spring-clean my bookshelf next week, and will only keep a handful of books. It’s only a small bookshelf so space is limited. This book has definitely earned its space 🙂

So glad you’re enjoying Name of the Wind! One of my favorite reads last year. The sequel is good too, though I think I liked it a little less. Some of the plot lines got strange. But I’m really pumped for #3 whenever it eventually comes out…

I haven’t ordered my sequel yet, foolish girl that I am. I’ve got fewer than 100 pages left to read, and no sequel. I have heard from a few people that the second book isn’t as good but still enjoyable, so I’ll try to keep my expectations low. I also heard that #3 is a long time coming!

Enjoy Asimov! I’ve never read his work before but I have friends who think I’m crazy because of that, haha. Happy reading and thanks for participating in WWW Wednesday!

Some people might call me crazy because if I haven’t read some classics, so you’re in good company ^^ We’ve got them in my library, so I can easily take them out when I decide to read them! That’s probably why I haven’t read them yet – they are right there.
Always a pleasure, Sam! Happy reading! 🙂

I’m surprised by how quickly I’ve gotten through it. I don’t think it’s been two weeks, and I’ve got fewer than 100 pages left now. If you’re me, that’s pretty quick for a book that size! It’s a very easy read, not difficult to get through at all 🙂 I hope you love it when you get around to it ❤ Finger's crossed I'll have the review next week Thursday, but I honestly don't know what I'll say. I've taken notes but it's just me gushing!
